[cue four hot Strutts and a Struttette leaping out of a large, tastefully wrapped Christmas box dressed in their finest, jiggling jazz-hands].
Yes that’s right, The Strutts have officially launched!
MASSIVE thanks to the Whitehouse Inn at Penhallow for being our new and improved launch venue, and for just letting us, and our massive crew (where did all those people come from?) just do our thang! Cracking food and good beer everyone!
After our rocking intro music came to a dramatic finish (thanks Fraser!), we were straight in with our rendition of Crazy in Love; a song that certainly set the night in the right groove. An electric dancefloor ensued and remained through some epic toons; including some surprise beat-boxing at the end of Rock Your Body. That shocked you all didn’t it?!
Despite the sniffles, Beechams Flu Plus (and homemade ginger-winger potion) saw Lucy through the diva classics such as Adele’s Rolling in the Deep, and that festive favourite, All I Want for Christmas! (You gotta love a bit of Mariah at Christmas!)
We saw some great moves from the dance floor too party people! There were lots of Jay Kays, Arethas, and Pinks, and we even saw your ‘Moves like Jagger’! Totally awesome stuff!
The stage looked fantastic and we would like to thank Alden Evans for the magnificent PA system, Gareth Young from The Cube studios for the sound and Roger Butler from Rainbow Warrior Lighting for putting on a great light show. Plus all the other people on hand to set up and break down. You rock!
See you in Bude on Sat 14th December at the Old Orchard Inn.
